Kukulkan Pyramid.

The Mayan ruins are evidence of the expert craftsmanship of these ancient people. Among the most impressive Mayan structures is the Kukulkan step pyramid of Chichen Itza, also known as El Castillo. The Kukulkan pyramid was discovered in the 19th century. Today, it is a big tourist attraction.

Every year, on March 21, the sun aligns with the Kukulkan pyramid to reveal the shadowy figure of a giant snake slithering down the steps. In fact, this pyramid was dedicated to the feathered serpent deity, Kukulkan. It was designed with four staircases having 91 steps on each side and a top platform, for a total of 365, which represents the individual days of the year. The Temple of Kukulkan is not just a fancy looking pyramid; it is actually a three dimensional solar year Mayan calendar. The Mayans were truly light years ahead of their time. Furthermore, the four staircases of Kukulkan reflect the Mayan concept of the four World Ages, making this unique pyramid an ideal World Age calendar as well. The Mayans believed that there were three worlds created before ours and that we are residing in the fourth and final world.

9 Stages of Human Consciousness

This mysterious pyramid may actually hold the most important secret in man's history. The Kukulkan step pyramid was constructed with nine levels, which are of exceptional significance. Why nine levels? It has been proposed that these nine temple levels represent the evolutionary stages of human consciousness. Kukulkan is a time map of the evolution of life, beginning at the broad base of the pyramid, which represents the point of all creation, billions of years ago. Creation reaches absolute perfection at Kukulkan's apex, which is the ninth pyramid level. This last evolutionary stage coincides exactly with the end of the Mayan calendar. When we ultimately reach this last growth phase, human evolution will at last be complete. Kukulkan shows us that human consciousness will reach its highest representation when we complete this ninth stage. At the time if this writing, May 2010, we are at the eighth pyramid level and will soon be entering the ninth, which will culminate around 2012, or perhaps sooner. An oblivion of the fourth World Age is essential in order to bring forth a new world age of spiritual enlightment. The Mayans left us signposts such as Kukulkan so that we don't forget where we came from, and where we are going.

Ancient Astronomers.

As a result of their diligent study of the heavens, the Mayans were able to create advanced calendars such as the Kukulkan pyramid. They were obsessed with studying the skies. In fact, the entire orientation of the Kukulkan pyramid is based on cosmology. The stars play a vital role in the pyramid's design. Both the sun and the Pleiades star cluster regularly align directly over the top of the pyramid. Mayan astronomers accurately predicted this and other cosmic events occurring thousands of years into their future. How where they able to comprehend complex astronomy with just primitive tools? Clearly, this was a super intelligent scientific society that understood precision and numbers. When the ancient Mayan astronomers speak, it may be a good idea to listen. Especially when it may concern the fate of all humans.
